Two things are certain-income taxes and death. We only deal with the first of these two!
Individual returns-comprise the bulk of our tax client base. We electronically file all returns that qualify at no additional cost. Our fees are very reasonable and for that reason we do not quote preparation fees over the phone. Potential clients need to know who we are personally. Therefore we want you to meet with us at our office, bring prior year tax returns at which time we can give an accurate estimate of the preparation fee along with the information needed to prepare the return.
We like to perform a cursory review of the prior year returns at no charge and identify certain information that would be needed for the current year. We have experience in all aspects of personal returns including sole proprietors (schedule C) and rentals (schedule E). In addition, we do not allow grass to grow under our returns-turn around can be as little as one day when all necessary information is delivered. A 10% first year only discount is offered from our normal fees. Preparation fees are not based on time spent, but on return schedules.
